Mountain insurance free for you or a member of your family

Do you travel to the mountains? Do you hike or ski? Enjoy it! All current customers of Česká poisťovňa – Slovensko and poisťovňa Generali have the costs of the Mountain Rescue Service covered for the technical provision of a rescue or search action in mountainous terrain in Slovakia up to the amount of 300 000 Sk.

The insurance is valid from 1.10.2008 to 31.3.2009 and can be used one-off, just for one person.

In the event that you find yourself in an emergency situation in the mountains which endangers your life or your health, call the non-stop emergency line of the Mountain Rescue Service 18 300, state your name and the fact that you are a customer of GENERALI SLOVENSKO insurance company.

What do we cover?
The costs for the technical provision of a rescue action in mountainous terrain, i.e. transport – search flights in the event of getting lost, an accident, being trapped in the mountains etc., ground intervention in the event of more accessible terrain, or in the event of unsuitable weather, the transport of bodily remains.

The Mountain Rescue Service organises and carries out the rescue activity and then contacts our insurance company. The costs arising in relation to the rescue activity will be settled between the Generali Slovensko insurance company and the Mountain Rescue Service.

What we do not cover:

• abuse of the emergency hotline by deliberately asking for help which is not needed,
• if you were moving around in mountainous terrain when an avalanche risk level of 4 or above or another danger was announced,
• intervention on marked skiing paths during opening hours (these costs are covered by the provider of the mountain transport equipment),
• if you are under the influence of alcohol, narcotics or other intoxicating substances,
• suicide attempt or deliberate damage to health,
• costs for providing first aid and specialist medical aid in an accommodation and catering establishment,
• accident and medical costs

WARNING!
The bonus is valid for current customers of Česká poisťovňa – Slovensko and poisťovňa Generali with a valid insurance policy as of September 1st 2008.
The bonus is automatically applicable during the above-mentioned period of validity; no further contract or document need be concluded for mountain insurance or for the use of the information service.
